About SimplyArlene

SimplyArlene began work in ministry at the age of fourteen. She was the founder of Arlene's Theater, a program that gave inner-city youth the opportunity to avoid trouble by cultivating their talents while keeping them out of trouble. SimplyArlene travelled state to state competing in drama, winning numerous awards. As a freshman in college, she was given a medal by the first black congress women women, Barbara Jordan, placing first in Dramatic Reading at Texas Southern University in Houston. She also received a Commendation from the Governor of South Carolina for her selfless work with abused children. SimplyArlene has a Bachelor's Degree in Education, an Associate Degree in Theater Arts & a Associate Degree in biblical studies. Her work with youth and the elderly extends many years, including hosting & producing her own Television Talk Show. Her employment with Youth Encounter of Minneapolis, Minnesota gave her an opportunity to minister to thousands of youth across the nation. Her life changed after a mission trip to Mexico, where she participated in street ministry and helped to build a home for a homeless pastor and his family. After this experience, she was compelled to minister to the needy. Missions because a major part of SimplyArlene's Ministries.
